We advised on the £120m phased regeneration of Peabody’s St. John’s Hill estate, opposite London’s Clapham Junction station.

The scheme replaces outdated housing with over 500 new homes, commercial units, a community hub and 13,600sqm of landscaped open space. Sustainability is at its heart.

A key issue was financial viability. Part of our solution was successfully expanding the town centre boundary to allow for higher density. The scheme is also notable for the impressive community support generated by our comprehensive engagement programme.

The plan was approved in 2012 and was described by Peabody as “truly exemplary.”
