Tim Waring
Tim has been a Director at Indigo since 2005 and set up the company's Leeds office. Prior to joining Indigo Planning he worked at Town Planning Consultancy, where he was Operational Director of the Leeds office.
Tim has a broad and diverse experience of planning matters - advising on all land uses, with specialist knowledge in retail planning.
He is involved in the co-ordination and submission of planning applications, promotion of development plan processes, giving expert evidence at public inquiries (appeals, call-in and development plans) and in the production and co-ordination of environmental statements (ESs).
Principal projects include:
- Royal Ordnance Factory site, Nottingham - Environmental statement, planning justification report and submission of a package of planning applications for redevelopment of the Royal Ordnance Factory site, Nottingham for a business park (66,000m²). Along with the retail, health and fitness and residential development on behalf of Miller Birch Developments Ltd and BAE.
- Deepdale Shopping Park, Preston - Promotion of a mixed-use scheme (employment, residential, retail) on behalf of British Land plc at Deepdale Shopping Park, Preston. Including preparation and co-ordination of an ES, planning report and negotiations with the local planning authority.
- Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd - Retention by Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd to provide planning advice on their property interests including site appraisals, planning applications and appeals within Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
- IKEA - Advising and promoting new stores for IKEA as part of their store development programme including stores at Stockport, Doncaster, Bootle (Liverpool) and extensions to the Company's stores at Warrington, Leeds and Gateshead.
