Richard Frudd
Richard is an Associate at Indigo and has been with the company since 2005 as one of the founding members of the Leeds office.
Richard has a wide range of experience advising on development projects throughout the UK, with a focus on the north of England.
Richard is progressively focussing more on mixed-use urban regeneration schemes including complex planning policy, environmental and political issues. He has extensive experience in promoting retail developments including the preparation of retail impact assessments, and redevelopment proposals on contaminated land.
Principal projects include:
- Crown Point Retail Park, Leeds - Advising on the ongoing asset management and expansion of a 26,000m² retail park on the edge of Leeds City Centre.
- Sainsbury's, Arnold, Nottingham - A 1,433m² extension to an existing superstore on the edge of the town centre including a wider range of permitted goods for sale. Having secured planning permission in 2006, the project was completed efficiently and the store re-opened in 2007.
- Land off Church Way, Doncaster - Advising on redevelopment proposals including over 400 residential units, 2,975m² of office floorspace, plus ancillary commercial and retail units on a strategic regeneration site adjoining the River Don on behalf of the site owner.
- Phoenix Parkway Retail Park, Corby - Securing planning permission to extend and change the use of an existing out-of-centre retail unit to accommodate a health and fitness club on behalf of the landlord (Peel Holdings) and JJB Sports Plc.
- Manchester Road/Common Lane, Partington, Greater Manchester - Advising site owners - National Grid, on the redevelopment of their redundant 32ha gas works site for mixed employment purposes.
