Leisure: Picketts Lock
Picketts Lock, Enfield
Indigo advised the Lee Valley Regional Park Authority on a series of planning matters relating to the delivery of a Regional Athletics Centre. The site is within the green belt and included the demolition of a vacant leisure centre. The centre provides a landmark building and state-of-the-art indoor athletics facility for elite athletes and the local community.
Indigo's role comprised:
- Reviewing planning application and relevant information from the planning application for the National Athletics Stadium;
- Project managing the planning process, including preparing a detailed planning statement with a supporting case for the proposals and reviewing of all other consultant reports, and negotiating with the Council, GLA and GOL through to determination; and
- Discharging planning conditions
This scheme has now been built and is a very successful facility.
