Corporate Social Responsibility
Indigo Planning recognises its relationship with the environment including the community within which it works.
Although now one of the largest independent planning consultancies, corporate social responsibility (CSR) has always been a key part in our development. CSR is integrated into the way we work and in the initiatives set out for our clients.
Our 2008 CSR Policy builds on a number of our existing principles such as:
People - the Human Resource function of the company and how our operations affect our employees
Society - how we integrate or could potentially improve the local and other communities in which we operate
Operations - the daily modus operandi of our business and its impact on the environment
Business - how we operate commercially and our working relationships with clients.
Each of these areas is evaluated in terms of annual targets against which we review our performance and improve our activities.
Indigo Planning has the following CSR initiatives in place:
- the development and implementation of a range of HR policies to ensure that all employees are rewarded for their contribution
- the adoption of a Green Travel Plan for all staff
- the move towards more sustainable operational practices, including the switch to recycled products, recycling initiatives, the use of suppliers who adopt socially responsible policies
- the active participation in, and sponsorship of charitable events including the London Marathon, the Great North Run and the Race for Life.
