Chris Smith
Chris is an Associate Director at Indigo and has been with the company since 2006 at the Manchester office. He has over ten years' experience working at some of the country's leading planning consultancies.
Chris has a wide range of experience advising on development projects throughout the UK including residential and mixed-use development schemes, along with specialising in retail planning.
Chris has experience in appearing as an expert planning witness at public inquiries and progressing appeals.
Principal projects include:
- M6 Corridor, Cumbria - Advising on a mixed-use scheme including a business park, residential, retail and leisure units.
- Lidl UK GmbH - Preparing retail assessments in support of a variety of food retail and other development proposals throughout the north-west.
- Barrow, Cumbria - Advising Standard Life Investments on the planning strategy for securing new uses and operators within a retail park.
- Melton, East Yorkshire - Preparing a retail assessment to support an application for a garden centre development.
- Manchester - Advising a client on a gateway residential and employment development scheme on the fringe of Manchester City Centre.
