About Us

Caroline Wilberforce

Caroline is an Associate Director of Indigo based in the London office and joined the company in 2003.

Having previously worked in the public sector Caroline now primarily advises property developers, investors, retailers and public bodies on various mixed-use projects, as well as residential, retail, leisure and commercial development schemes.

Caroline is experienced in historic building issues, co-ordinating environmental statements, organising public consultation events and preparing evidence for appeals.

Principal projects include:
  • Former Power Station site, Kingston-upon-Thames - Redevelopment for over 350 flats and a high quality hotel on a vacant town centre site, adjacent to the river Thames, on behalf of the site owner.
  • Broadmarsh Shopping Centre, Nottingham - Redeveloping a 136,000m² shopping centre in the city centre on behalf of Westfield Shoppingtowns.
  • Sainsbury's supermarket, Welwyn Garden City - Devising a proposal for a 7000m² new supermarket in the town centre, within a conservation area setting.
  • Former swimming pool site, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey - Devising a proposal for a residential redevelopment of a redundant council-owned site on behalf of Elmbridge Borough Council.
  • Former Government Offices site, Esher, Surrey - Redevelopment of a redundant office site in the green belt for 120 residential units and a community facility for Land Securities Trillium.
  • Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire - Advising the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) and London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games (LOCOG) on the planning strategy to deliver the Olympic and legacy white water canoe course in Hertfordshire.
