B&Q New Malden
Indigo secured planning permission for a mixed-use scheme incorporating just under 18,500m2 of retail floorspace which included a B&Q Warehouse and café, B&Q office, shop units together with over 50 residential units at Shannon Corner, New Malden on a site of just under 2 hectares.
The site formed part of a larger retail and light industrial area at Shannon Corner in what is largely a surburban residential area. The prominence of the site and its visibility from the A3 made this an excellent retail location with the incorporation of a active frontage and a mix of uses which integrate into the surrounding area. The tower feature is located adjacent to the A3 rises to approximately twice the height of the majority of the development and acts as a landmark not only a street level but also when approaching from the A3.
