Indigo Planning is a specialist consultancy that advises the private and public sectors throughout the UK and Ireland. Established in 1986 and with offices in London, Manchester, Leeds and an associate office in Dublin, the company has grown to become one of the largest independent planning consultancies in the UK.

What we do

The company advises and secures planning permission on behalf of clients for complex and large-scale land use planning projects. We have successfully negotiated many major planning approvals.

Our advice includes:

• devising strategies for maximising the prospects of securing consent
• liaising with and co-ordinating other professionals on project teams
• ensuring the best results are delivered on time and on budget.

The team behind us

The company is led by its ten Directors with approximately 50 professional planners and additional technical and support staff. As such, it has a strong resource with a significant breadth of experience.

The team has specialist experience in project management, co-ordinating teams of consultants, negotiating with local authorities and appearing at public inquiries as expert witnesses. On larger projects we often work with other specialist consultants and ensure that submissions to the relevant authorities are robust and relevant and that timetables for submission are adhered to.

Indigo is commercially focused and utilises the experience of Directors in all projects with other professionals providing support. Key members of the team are supported by more junior staff as and when needed.

Indigo has a range of clients including landowners, major PLCs, house builders, local authorities and other public sector bodies, retailers, pension funds and investment banks.
